Madeira

Madiera has a good year round climate, superb quality hotels and stunning scenery. Its subtropical climate wiyj moderate rainfall combines to provide for lush vegatation with exotic flowers.

If you are looking to escape the stress of modern life this could be the place for you do not expect all night discos and loud noisy bars,there is a handful of sophisticated bars, late night clubs and a few pubs with live entertainment. but evenings and late nights are mainly spent meeting new friends over a glass of local wine or tasting the local cuisine, I can recommend the freshly caught Tuna or Espada (Scabbard Fish) , skewered beef another of my favourites, wander through the streets of Funchal there is a variety of restaraunts and small bars/cafes.

At day these same streets are full of flower sellers, visit the markets, relax at the Marina, visit old town and have lunch. Walk the Levadas, take a trip on the cable car (magnificient views), return by taboggan or just lay by the pool. There are so many different facets to Madiera it would be almost impossible to not to find something to enjoy.

The hotel standards are high, the people are friendly and there are few places where you would enjoy better or more courteous service, hotel pools often overlook the ocean or are situated in magnificent tropical gardens which make Madeira an ideal destination for sunworshippers. There are a few man made beaches but this is not a beach lovers destination.

Madiera is an island that many of our clients return to time and time again and always find something new to enjoy, different floral dispays depending on season, wide range of local wines and the views are beyond description except to say worth the trip on their own.
